I love tonight!

I love this picture, I don't know what I love or why I like looking at it. But I do.

Only 2 more days before October, how this year has flown by. Soon all the leaves will have changed colors, fallen away and will be replaced with snow. Then my flip flips will have been tosses in the closest for............uhhh BOOTS! My toes feel claustrophobic just at the thought.

Luckily, even in the snow, I can take a picture that melts my heart and keeps me warm inside.

I hope this post finds you all enjoying the wonderful night we had and hopefully tomorrow will be a great day for everyone!

A TOAST, TO THE COAST.

As Utah is starting to feel the seasons change from summer to fall, I thought I'd share a few beach shots to warm us all up. From the Ventura Pier in Southern California, here's to sunshine, sand and surf.

Family Session - Riley & Hailey

Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes, and Bare Feet, that would be my nieces, Riley and Hailey! Only 13 months apart, and already these two are so different.

Riley a girl after my own heart, just loves to get her picture taken, loves the attention and my favorite part, she sings every song on the radio (just the girl parts of course).

Then we have lil miss Hailey, WOW, talk about my sister making a clone of herself, oh just a feisty little thing. She doesn't care who you are or what you want. She's got her own agenda, and picture taking isn't on the list! My husband Bruce was looking at the pictures laughing at some of the faces she was giving me.

I love these girls!

A day at the beach and I think my sister has some priceless pictures of her two angels. I had a blast seeing these girls, can't wait to see who they turn out to be.

Family Session - Ashley and Ava

After almost a year, I was greeted at the door by Ava's smile, I can't believe how fast kids grow up. Let alone your friends kids. Living out of state you almost forget that life keeps going on outside your world and expect to see that nothings changed when you come back.

Ashley has been my best friend for most of my life now, we've been through so much together. I remember being with her when she brought Ava home from the hospital, I remember her telling me when she first found out she was expecting, and I remember showing her my dance that I video taped to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack in 2ND grade. I can't believe that Ms. Ava is already 4 well on her way to turning 5! She is just as I imagined Ashley's daughter to be, she's sweet, kind and already my mini BFF. While Ashley was finishing getting ready, Ava went ahead and polished my nails as we pretended she was working at a salon and I was her client. She took my cell phone so her "clients" could reach her. If I didn't see the similarities then, I sure did as soon as I heard Ava say, "Hold up, I'm with a client right now. I'll have to call you back."I love this picture of the two of them, priceless!

Lisa Lou - My little sister

Oh boy, today is a BIG day! Today my only sister turns 25! I can't believe it, how the time has flown by. My sister and I have always been complete opposites, she keeps everything to herself, I am an open book. My mom and I can sit and watch a Hallmark commercial and start balling and she's walk bye rolling her eyes while laughing at us. What's funny though is I've always noticed the differences we've had in our lives and not really noted the similarities. We're both very independent people in our own ways and both very stubborn. I notice more similarities we have every time I'm around her, I noticed that when we laugh, like when something catches us of guard funny we both laugh making the same face. Just a small detail but when I do it, I think of her and smile. I'm posting two pictures today, one is of Lisa and her 2 daughters Riley and Hailey and the other is of Lisa and I when we were around the same age as them.

Dear Lisa Lou,

What I wish for you this 25th year of your life, LOTS AND LOTS of laughter, and happiness. Success in whatever you do, and faith that keeps you motivated to do whatever you wish. I also wish for you a few trips to Utah, what's a sister got to do to have a visit?? Seriously though, I love you and hope you have a great birthday!

Happy Anniversary Bruce!

3 years ago today I married my best friend. Bruce is my rock and I'm so glad I get to call him my love. I know like all things in life there is no such thing as perfect and there will always ups and down, but this boy gets me, he knows what I'm about to say before I say anything, he knows how to make me smile and piss me off! : )

Most of all he makes me happy and can make me laugh at anything. Today I would like to post one of my favorite pictures of him, I took it last month at the Bonneville Salt Flats! Can my husband be any hotter?

"Operation Katie's Birthday"

Just got back from California and had a BLAST! I think "Operation Katie's Birthday" went well and involved a lot of smiles, laughing and picture taking. I think I'll share a few picture of my favorite people.
